The instruction manual of the activated carbon water purifier should warn the user that after the water purifier is turned on, part of the water should be discharged, and the stagnant water in the filter cartridge and pipe of the water purifier should be discharged, and then fresh filtered water should be used for use. Otherwise, after a long period of soaking, the bacteria in the activated carbon will multiply and exceed the standard, and nitrite may also increase.
In addition, the manufacturer of the activated carbon filter element should remind the filter element to replace it after reaching the specified service life. Especially in the south, the tap water with surface water as the water source, the water has a lot of colloidal substances and high organic matter content, if it is not replaced in time, after the activated carbon adsorbs organic matter saturation, it can no longer play the role of adsorption and water purification, but will release harmful substances, making the water purifier become a "sewage device".
