The analysis of activated carbon filter element manufacturers concluded that the types of activated carbon used in different filter elements are different, and the functions are also different. Details are as follows:

1. CTO filter element belongs to a kind of pre-filter element, generally using coal-based carbon with iodine of more than 900 as the filter material, after three times of desulfurization iron processing, or high-quality coconut shell activated carbon or fruit shell activated carbon, CTO is used in water treatment equipment to remove residual chlorine, chemical pesticides, different colors, peculiar smells, and filter fine impurities, etc., and is used in the water purifier for the third stage to protect the RO membrane, with a service life of 3-6 months.

2. The UDF filter element is a kind of pre-filter element, which is mostly made of high-quality fruit shell coconut shell activated carbon or coal activated carbon and bonded by ultrasonic welding technology. In water treatment, it is used to adsorb organic matter, chemical pesticides, residual chlorine, discoloration and odor in water.

3. T33 filter element (post-activated carbon filter element) uses high-quality coconut shell antibacterial activated carbon as the filter material, which is mainly used to improve the taste of water and eliminate odor. The period of use is 4-6 months.
