Introduction to Security Filters
Tight filters, also known as security filters, are generally installed in front of the pressure vessel to remove fine particles with a turbidity of more than 1 degree to meet the requirements of the subsequent process for influent water, and sometimes at the end of the entire water treatment system to prevent fine particles (such as broken resin) from entering the finished water.
Tight filtration devices (also known as security filters) are mostly made of stainless steel shells, and the internal filter elements (such as PP cotton) are mainly used after multi-media pretreatment filtration, before reverse osmosis, ultrafiltration and other membrane filtration equipment. It is used to filter out fine substances (such as tiny quartz sand, activated carbon particles, etc.) after multi-media filtration, so as to ensure the water filtration accuracy and protect the membrane filter element from damage caused by large particulate matter. The accuracy level of the filter element installed in the tight filtration device can be divided into 0.5us, 1us, 5us, 10us, etc., and different filtration accuracy can be selected according to different occasions to ensure the accuracy of the post-water outlet and the safety of the post-stage membrane element.

Function and Purpose
In order to prevent the incomplete removal of suspended particles or newly generated suspended particles into the reverse osmosis system during pre-treatment, and to protect the high-pressure pump and reverse osmosis membrane, a filter type security filter is usually installed before the reverse osmosis water inlet. Generally, the aperture is less than 10um, and it can be designed to be 5um or lower according to the actual design situation.

The tight filtration device is mainly composed of filter shell, filter element, etc., most of the filter shell is composed of R304 stainless steel material, such as used in special occasions such as acid and alkali resistance, R316 stainless steel can be used as the shell. It can be divided into flange type and clamp type, and the flanged shell is mainly used in the occasion of large filtration flow. The filter element installed in the middle of the filter shell is mainly PP filter cotton core, and the wire-wound filter element or activated carbon filter element can also be used in some occasions. The number of filters installed can range from one to dozens, depending on the size of the treatment capacity.
Common filter types
The filter element materials mainly include sintered filter tubes, meltblown fiber filter elements and honeycomb filter elements.
The sintered tube is formed by sintering powder materials, and the filter tube materials include ceramics, glass sand, plastics, etc. Meltblown fiber filter element is generally made of polypropylene as raw material, which is made by heating and melting, spraying, traction, and receiving molding, and PP filter element with polypropylene as raw material is more commonly used. The hive filter element is tightly wound on the porous skeleton by textile fiber roving, and the polypropylene filament winding hive filter element is more commonly used.
Precautions
A pressure gauge should be set up for the inlet and outlet water of the security filter, and the filter element should be replaced in time when the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet water reaches the limit value during operation. Due to the low cleaning recovery efficiency of the filter element, disposable filter elements are well used.
Installation method:
1. Unpack the package and put it in sorts
2. Assemble the filter cartridge
3. Fix the filter element into the filter tank
4. Fix the tank lid and put on the exhaust valve.
